Vintage style jewelry is timeless in their style and in their meaning. They represent enduring love with a connection to the past and the future. Is your heart yearning for vintage style jewelry? Here are three options.
1. Buy an actual Vintage Piece: You can shop at estate sales, online, or boutique jewelry stores, like mine, to find an actual vintage piece. I always like to imagine the very first person who wore it, and what her hopes and dreams were! One thing that you do need to be aware of is that many stores are selling the jewelry “as is” and have not done any repair work to it. Vintage jewelry is likely to have worn prongs, chipped gemstones, and other structural damages, and the seller is usually not going to fix it for free. I suggest taking your vintage jewelry to a reputable jeweler to have them check it over and do the repair work necessary for your piece to be worn and loved for years to come!
2. Recreate a Vintage Piece: The vintage jewelry you love may sell before you can buy it, you may be concerned about the durability of a vintage piece, or you may be concerned about potential bad energy attached to the jewelry from the previous owner, so in those cases, I suggest recreating a vintage piece with a jewelry designer, like me! Using pictures of the jewelry in different angles, a CAD designer can draw the piece and make changes until you like it. You also have a chance to tweak parts of the jewelry that you may not have loved and use gemstones you may already have. Another idea is that you can combine different elements of vintage pieces you like to create something different!
3. Modern With Vintage Vibe: This jewelry is the modern interpretation of vintage and can be gorgeous and sparkly! The diamonds and gemstones are generally set in prongs, pave, and even bezels. They have decorative elements like milgrain and curls of gold. I love how these rings really show off the diamonds and gemstones.
