It’s that time of year where we are left wondering what to give our loved ones for the holidays. Yep, it comes every year, yet still, we are surprised, at least I am! We wait around thinking inspiration will hit us, and we end up scrambling at the end. Ralphie from the movie A Christmas Story, described it as the “Christmas noose,” but it can easily be the “Hanukkah noose.” Our heart is that we want to give them something they will appreciate and enjoy, not just stuff for stuff’s sake. You might think I am a little biased, but I do believe jewelry is one of the best gifts to give, and here are a few reasons!
· Love is NOT Cancelled: 2020 has been a trying year on many different fronts, but one thing is for certain, love is not cancelled! The holidays are always a reminder of what is important in our lives, but 2020 has amplified that – it’s not a what, but a WHO is the most important to us. Whether you have quarantined with them or not, you know who that person is that makes all of this worth it, the one whom you want to be your teammate for the rest of life’s ups and downs.
· Everyday Reminder: I have a friend who went on a vacation to Greece with her husband 15 years ago. She never looks at her pictures of Greece and neither does she think about her trip except when she looks down at her hand because her husband bought her a beautiful love knot ring on that trip, and she wears it almost every day. The day-to-day heartaches of 2020 will disappear from our minds (thankfully), but every day that she wears the jewelry you get her, she’ll remember that despite the tough year, you two prevailed as a team. She’ll remember that your relationship went through stress and difficulties, yet it proved that you two can handle stress and difficulties together, and most importantly, that you love her.
· Enduring: With proper maintenance and care, your jewelry made of quality materials and quality of manufacturing will last generations! I have worked with so many people who feel a connection to their parents, grandparents, or other family members through the jewelry that was passed down to them. It is so romantic when the diamond from mom’s engagement ring is used to celebrate new love. In our throw away culture, it is a unique experience to give a gift that will endure. Or, as Uncle Eddie says in the movie Christmas Vacation, “it’s the gift that keeps on giving.” He was talking about a jelly of the month club, but it applies to jewelry as well!
Even when you want to celebrate with jewelry, oftentimes, we don’t know where to start. We are concerned with getting the best value, understanding what we are buying, who can we trust, and frankly, jewelry stores can be intimidating while online shopping can be confusing! Educating my clients on diamonds, jewelry, and gemstones is key part of helping them feel confident in their purchase. I enjoy sharing my Graduate Gemologist knowledge and 23 years of experience, so that my clients understand what they are buying! When you book your one-on-one appointment with me you get discretion (no ruined surprises by someone you know walking in), access to expertise (ask all your questions with freedom), and guidance (from jewelry style to long term quality of designer, you won’t be left wondering).
As two of my favorite holiday movies have proven, jewelry really is the best gift to give! Book your private appointment with me today! www.angelacisneros.com/book-appointment
